Luxury Watches in my Wish List...

One of my future plans is to get a few pieces of luxury watches for myself. Actually, that has been my plan since I don’t know when. I had a Tag Heuer when I was still teaching but I gave it away. The person I gave it to is a relative and still has the watch until now…and I gave it to her about 10 years ago. Anyway, I was planning in getting me another one but it never happened because I stopped teaching and eventually had a family of my own. Since there are more important things to spend our money now, my plan was put in the back burner. But I have not forgotten about it.

 Another watch that I would really want to have is a Cartier piece. I used to have this co-teacher who had a couple of Cartier watches. I would always try them on whenever she came to school wearing one. I would always say that one day I will also have my own Cartier collection. Movado is another brand I really like. I like the classic look of some of their watches. But if ever I have the money to get me a Movado watch, I would like to get this piece which is my all time favorite.

Frustrating!!!

Our internet was on and off today. I had a lot of things to do online - both for work and some research. So I was like this most of the day....

The thing is our phone and internet [and cable] is a bundle package with our provider. That means if one is out, everything else is out. As much as I want to call them and bite their head off, I can't because the phone was also out.

Anyway, we're planning in finding another provider, at least for the phone. So we don't feel so helpless when this happens again.

Refurbished Equipments...

When we got this laptop I’m using about 5 years ago, it was a lot cheaper. Why? Because it’s a refurbished product. We didn’t have a lot of money to buy a brand new one so we looked for the next best thing. I can say that it was a wise decision because it has lasted us this long and it’s still working fine after more than 5 years of being used and abused. My husband and I both believe that it’s better to buy used or refurbished products especially for computer stuff like routers or other accessories. It’s just practical especially if we’re given warranty for the product.

Cisco, the leader in networking equipment sells both new and used products like a used cisco access server. So why would one choose used or refurbished products? Like I mentioned practicality is one especially now that everything is just so expensive. Aside from that, the products are always available for the taking which means there’s no wait time. The used products that Cisco is offering are all tested rigorously to make sure that it’s in its tip top form. So if you are in need of any networking equipment, try checking Used Cisco’s networking equipment first. They might have what you’re looking for at a much lower price.

Summer is Back!!!

Because it's definitely....

today. I am not seeing any hint that it's going to rain. There is also no prediction of rain in the weather forecast for today so I guess it's going to be one HOT summer day today.

It's going to be one busy day for me today since it's laundry day. The little is also doing a lot of her school work as we're trying to get into a regular schedule for her homeschooling.

I'm also planning in cleaning a bit but it does not look like that's going to happen since it's midday already and I still have other things to do.

Less Stress, Less Cost

Moving, whether across the street or the country, is usually very stressful. We just did an inter-city move not too long ago so I know the feeling. Now it’s only been a couple of months since we moved to our new house but the husband is already talking about maybe moving to another state! I don’t know what he’s thinking but if you ask me, I’d be happy where we are for the next 50 years. So what made him think about moving in another state? Greener pasture that is. He went to Texas last month and he saw that there’s a good market for his kind of business there. Well, I will support him but for long distance moving like the one he’s thinking of doing, we will definitely need help with our stuff. On our last move, we did everything by ourselves and I am not making that mistake again. We don't really need to spend a lot because we can just get a ReloCube from ABF U-Pack where we pack and they pick it up for delivery. Less stress, less cost. Sweet!

The Onion and the Christmas tree

My day is done so I am saying goodnight already. It's been a so-so day for me. Not too busy but not too idle either. It's almost my bedtime so I better stop here. But before I leave...here's one joke I have saved in my Inbox for quite some time already.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The family is sitting at the dinner table. The son asks his father, "Dad, how many kinds of boobies are there?"
The father, surprised, answers, "Well son, there are three kinds of breasts. In her twenties, a woman's breasts are like melons, round & firm. In her thirties & forties, they are like pears, still nice, but hanging a bit. After fifty, they are like onions."
"Onions?"
"Yes, when you see them, they will make you cry." L
This infuriated his wife and daughter so the daughter says, "Mom, how many types of "willies" are there?"
The mother, surprised, smiles and answers, "Well, a man goes through three phases. In his twenties, his "willie" is like an oak tree, mighty and hard. In his thirties & forties, it's like a birch tree, flexible but reliable. After his fifties, it is like a Christmas tree."
"A Christmas tree??"
"Yes, dead from the root up and the balls are for decoration only."
Surefire it is....
Our little one here loves to play with flashlights. We only have one flashlight at home so that’s the only she could play with. Can you imagine how much battery we go through? Last Christmas, “Santa” decided to get her one so she’ll have her own. Did she stop playing with our flashlight? Not quite. She still opens the nightstands in our bedroom looking for it. The husband now is thinking of getting a new one, a Surefire 6P no less, that we plan on hiding from her. My husband likes this flashlight because it can be converted to use rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries. That means that even if the little one finds it, batteries will no longer be an issue. But we’ll still try to hide it away from her.
6 FILIPINO tips for a happier life:
Yep, Filipinos can also give tips...for a happier life no less. My apologies to those who don't understand Tagalog. I can translate these tips but the 'punch' will no longer be there. To all my fellow Filipinos...this one's for you.
Hope everyone had a great day today. For those on the other side of the world...have a great day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

6 FILIPINO tips for a happier life:

1) Lahat ng problema may solusyon, kapag walang solusyon, huwag mo nang problemahin.

2) Always remember - kung kaya ng iba, ipagawa mo sa kanila,why tire yourself?

3) Hindi lahat ng gwapo may girlfriend, ang iba sa kanila may boyfriend.

4) Di bale nang tamad di naman pagod.

5) Practice makes perfect, but nobody is perfect so don't practice.

6) Don't face your problem if your problem is your face.

Digital Picture Frame

We went out to run some errands last weekend. While we were at some of the stores that sell home decors, we went looking around just to see what they have available. We were able to get a few small pieces that we like. While we were in one of the stores, I saw a digital picture frame on display. I really want one in the future so I went to check them out in the store. We didn’t buy any since we know that we will be able to find it online at a much cheaper price. As a matter of fact, I already found a site that sells really neat digital picture frames that I have bookmarked already. With a digital frame, I will be able to put up series of pictures that I have always wanted to put on the mantle. But with limited space on the mantle, I wasn’t able to do so. Now space will no longer be an issue as I don’t need those bulky picture frames to display our pictures. Thank goodness to the digital picture frames.

Good Deed....

When my husband went to Texas not too long ago, he found a cellphone laying around at the airport. The owner was nowhere in sight so my husband took it and waited for the owner to contact the 'finder' through the cellphone.

He did. They made arrangements on how my husband can send the guy his phone back. As soon as he got back home, he communicated with the fiancee of the guy. She sent us the needed information with the instructions [where and how to send it] and said that they will reimburse the whatever the cost was.

It's been a month since that phone was returned to them. We NEVER heard from them again!

This actually made me think...is it worth to go through all the hassles of returning something you found? I think so...my husband thinks so as well. I just hope that some people be grateful enough to at least let us know that they received whatever it is that was returned to them.
