Another day and it’s another rainy one. Ugh! Our plan of planting the Bottlebrush trees would have to wait. The husband was able to mow the yard earlier so that’s out of the agenda. Hopefully we can do the tree planting tomorrow. They are all sitting on the back porch ready to go. For now, I am stuck here in front of my computer doing my usual thing…looking for some work at home opportunities I can do while my regular jobs are still s-l-o-w. So far, I am not having much luck with that. I see a few job postings though but I don’t qualify for them…at least I don’t think I do anyway.
A lot of the job postings I’ve seen have something to do with the medical field. I am not that interested to pursue anything related to that so I just usually skip them. Jobs that are related to
IT Security are also popping up in my searches. Interesting. But what’s more interesting to me is learning that there is job called ‘ethical hacking’. Honestly, I was surprised when I read the title. How can hacking be ethical? Isn’t it wrong to hack into someone else’s system? I guess not. Apparently, big corporations offer big bucks, almost $100 grand/year, to ethical hackers to play a critical role in their company’s IT security.
EC-Council is one place that offers classes such as:
-Security Fundamentals
-Ethical Hacking
-Penetration Testing
-Computer Forensics
-Disaster Recovery
-Secure Programming
So if you’re interested about this ‘interesting’ line of work, visit EC-Council’s website and see for yourself what ‘ethical hacking’ is all about. This may just be the job you’ve been waiting for.
